Access & Equity Grant

The Access & Equity Grant is offered by Box Hill Institute to students who face genuine challenges in continuing their education. These challenges may be financial, personal, familial, or related to other forms of disadvantage. The aim is simple: to make courses, certificates, and diplomas at Box Hill Institute more accessible, so students aren't held back by their circumstances.

For overseas students, this grant isn't usually open—it's intended for domestic students, including Australian citizens and permanent residents. Those applying for a Confirmation of Enrolment or subclass 500 student visa will generally need to look for scholarships specifically for international students.

• Enrolment: Must be enrolled or planning to enrol in a vocational or higher education course at Box Hill Institute.
• Residency: Available to Australian citizens, permanent residents, and in some cases holders of certain humanitarian visas.
• Background: Intended for students experiencing financial hardship, disability, chronic illness, family or personal challenges, or are from groups traditionally underrepresented in higher education.
• Supporting Evidence: Applicants should be able to provide proof of hardship (e.g. Centrelink statements, medical letters, a personal statement, or references from school/health professionals).
