Best universities in Australia for Counselling

Counselling sits within social sciences and psychology, and Australian providers list 101 registered courses in the field. Those courses come from 36 providers, so the choice of where and how to study is wider than you might expect. You can enter at diploma or associate degree level and build up to a bachelor's degree. For those already working or holding a related qualification, graduate certificates and graduate diplomas offer a shorter route, with master's degrees available too. Providers range from Charles Darwin University and Chisholm Institute to Alphacrucis University College and Perth Bible College's Asia-Pacific School of Pastoral Care and Counselling. With six study levels on offer, it pays to check which entry point matches your background before you compare courses.
